Despite currency appreciation and the rise in raw materials in recent years, our country ranks third in the European Union (EU) after industrial new orders in April compared to March, 6.6%,according to data by Eurostat.
Advance the EU was only 0.2%. Orders rose in 9 countries and declined in 13, while the other five states did not report data. The largest increases were announced in Ireland (11.2%), Finland(7.1%) and Romania (6.6%) and the largest decreases in Hungary(-9.6%), Latvia (- 7.8%) and Bulgaria (-6.7%).
Compared with April last year, Romania had an increase of16.7%, being surpassed by Estonia (53.2%), Finland (28.8%), Lithuania (21.1%) and Bulgaria (17, 7%). The largest annualdecreases were registered in the UK (-2.8%), Denmark (-2.5%), Poland (-2.4%) and Hungary (2%).
